Miranda you light up our lives! And today we are so thankful for the precious gift you are. May your birthday ever serve as a reminder of God's goodness.

Believe it or not there was a time when our arms were empty, but we dreamed of you and prayed for you. A devotional for those experiencing infertility encouraged me to write a letter to my future child, here is part of what I wrote, addressed to

"Dearest Little Miracle,

...Oh, what joy there will be on that day when I hold you in my arms and behold your little fingers and little toes. We will sing to you as we rock you late at night. It will be so fun to see how you resemble us, yet you are your own unique person. You will have unique thoughts, experiences, joys, and pain. We can't wait to join with you as you discover this world. We will be there to love you, comfort you, hold your hand, pray with you, read to you, play with you, answer your many questions, and laugh with you. Most of all, dear child , we desire to model the love your Heavenly Father has for you. We will fail, but He will never fail. So we give you to His caring, good hands even before you are born, because although we do not know you yet, He does! We dedicate your life to Him and pray one day you will do the same! We love you so much!
