Andie's Thanksgiving Visitors

Andie's Thanksgiving Visitors
Originally uploaded by dandeelines.
We had a great Thanksgiving. My brother, Darren and sis-in-law, Caroline flew in from Indy. We stuffed ourselves, had good laughs and conversation, played games, put a puzzle together and relaxed. Notice that putting the puzzle together and relaxing are listed separately. We worked on that puzzle for 4 hrs straight. The next day I woke up with a serious cramp in my neck and shoulder.

It was particularly funny to watch Miranda with Uncle Darren. From first sight she took a special liking to him. She would smile at him and bat her eyes. The way she flirted made us laugh all weekend.

Thanks guys for coming!

Top Tooth!

Top Tooth

Well, I think it is finally broken completely through her gums. Today was the first day she hasn't had a runny nose in about 10 days. She has also had a low grade fever off and on.(She had a runny nose for only a day and a half when she got her bottom teeth. ) It is a welcomed sight. Hopefully, top tooth #2 doesn't cause the same symptoms.

Miranda's Stocking

Well, Nana and Papa, if you were wondering if Miranda likes her stocking...She loves it :-) It put her right in the Christmas spirit. Plus, she was already wearing her gingerbread jammies.

Andie's Reading Corner

This is Miranda's new favorite spot. I stack her books between the couch and the chair and she likes to shimmy her way in there and tear it all up. I don't mind at all, but don't tell her;-)

Hi Ho Lucy...Away!

We're a little short on horses around here (even though I ask Dan for a pony for my birthday every year:-)). Good thing Lucy doesn't mind being the substitute. Hope it doesn't cause an identity crisis for her.

By the smile on Andie's face you'd think she was on a carousle. If only she knew the excitement awaiting her. But for now smooshed, stuffed dogs will do.

Ready, Set...

Ready, Set...

Miranda has been getting around these days. About a week ago we saw her push forward for the first time and now she can do the little army crawl to get herself anywhere she wants to go. It's a combination of swinging arms and legs, pushing up on knees, which pushes her face into the ground, then big pulls forward on her elbows. As you can see below it takes a lot of determination...which,of course, she has.

Fall Festival

Fall Festival

Here's the Blosser family all costumed out. If you can't tell, Dan and I went as pirates and Miranda as a Texas Longhorn cheerleader. We were dressing up on a budget so the costumes are homemade with a little $1.00 pirate hat here and a $2.00 pirate earring there. We received the Longhorn outfit as a gift at one of my baby showers. I know it may offend some, but the whole idea of a costume is to be something you are not, right? If she went as say, a Colts cheerleader, it wouldn't have been a costume.

I know the white yarn holding my hat on totally defeats the piratey look, but it was a church function...we weren't out to scare people anyway.

Andie Nodding

Miranda's been bobbing her head up and down, especially when we play music. This video is hilarious because it looks like she's responding to questions.

My Amazing Husband

Lizard Behind Glass
Originally uploaded by dandeelines.
I spotted this little guy on the blinds of our patio door the other day, INSIDE our house. Of course, I screamed for Dan and, of course, his mission was to catch the thing. I admit I did not have much faith in his lizard catching abilities. I've seen them move before. Those little buggers are FAST! Maybe that is why when he scooped that lizard right into the glass and covered the top with a piece of paper I exclaimed, "YOU ARE SO AWESOME!" And that he is. Miranda and I are so proud.

I know right now my nephew, Logan, is so disappointed we let it go. Sorry, we couldn't keep it for you. I have trouble keeping green things alive. He never would've made it to Christmas.

This little tab used to belong to a "Lift and Look" library book. I gave the book to Miranda to keep her occupied while I warmed up some of her "cubes" for lunch. When I set her in her chair and tried to feed her she did not open her mouth as usual. In fact, her lips were shut tight. I thought it odd and waited a bit. When she opened her mouth a little I saw something white inside. I fished out this piece of cardboard book. Luckily she chews on things before she swallows them! Lesson learned...never leave a hungry baby alone with a "Lift and Look", or rather a "Rip and Eat", book.

Wrapped Up

One chilly morning when Miranda woke up, I set her on the floor and wrapped this afghan around her. She thought it was the most fun. She didn't even try to escape. She just sat there basking in the coziness.
