Busy Johnny

Johnny is fast and agile. Miranda was eating her yogurt (or ogerit as she calls it) at her little table, and while I took her to the potty I pushed the yogurt to the other side of the table where Johnny couldn't reach and I thought I had it barricaded so he couldn't get to the other side. I was wrong. At least he was using the spoon!?

"I Did It"

When I went in to get Miranda in the morning, the first thing she said was, "I did it! I did it!" I asked her what she did and she said, "he played two". Later she sang the whole verse to me. We got a book from the library that had this rhyme. I didn't know she was memorizing it. Actually, I thought she didn't really care for the book, so I didn't renew it. She asked for the book and when she found out I took it back to the library she cried. I told her we could still say the rhyme without the book.

That's My Kind of Palace

Miranda was playing with her dolls and stuffed animals today, during "room time" (A scheduled time of the day where she plays by herself in her room). When Dan went in there she had a bunch of dolls lying down in her bed. She asked Dan if he wanted to play dollies with her and then exclaimed, "It's a lie down palace!"-Sounds wonderful if you ask me.

"Sing with me!"

"Sing with me!"

We got some toys from a friend who was moving out of the country. Miranda really took to this guitar and the butterfly wings. For several days she would pick it up and "play" it, saying "sing with me, Mommy, sing with me!"
